HH pi and Florida no mineralization problem-Mr.Bill and Eric

In the last year I have tried the new Garrett Seahunter,Sandshark,Tigershark,Modified Surfmaster pi and Newforce cs6=not one of them could go as deep on an average size ladies gold ring or a nickel as my cz20 or Excalibur.I mentioned this once before some time ago.Is it possible that the lack of mineralization is detrimental to the pi's? I would love a HH pi, but not unless it will TRUELY beat the depth abilities of my 2 vlf's by enough to make spending over $600. worth it.What do you think? I dont want to get stuck again.Thanks Chuck
 
Hi again Mr bill, the cz20 has the 8"-the excal 10" First off, I am out hunting at least 5 days a week.I also enjoy buying different detectors and testing them, looking for any REAL edge.Of course if a pi is not going to go considerably deeper,the cz20 and excal. have a lot on te pi's= multiple id sounds and discrimination when wanted occasionally.It's true, the cost of all the tesed pi's could have bought an Aquastar-but of course I sold them and got a good portion of my money back= a testing fee.I dont consider the price of the HH pi to be bad at all! I just know that if you are going to use a pi instead of a vlf,deepth is what really matters.A very trusting friend on the forums is going to send me his shotly to test on my beach,then I will know if I want to buy one. If I do, I will bu it from you, one of the most helpful dealers around! I would say from your posts and our conversations, a very honest person as well! If I told you how deep my Modified idx that you did goes, noone would believe me! It beats EVERYTHING i've owned-strictly depthwise away from wet salt.Thankyou for your time Mr. Bill, it is appreciated! Chuck

Hi Chuck,
As Bill says, to make the next jump in depth you would need a Deepstar or an Aquastar. Florida beaches are very good in that there is no iron mineralisation, which does tend to limit performance in some other localities. The only mineralisation is that due to the salt water in the sand, which makes it conductive. The depth of PI

Hello Chuck and Bill,
When I did some bench air testing on the Headhunter Pi. I noticed that the window of response from the 11 inch coil does go down from 13 to 15 inches in depth on a nickel or mans gold ring. What excited me was that the response at that great depth did not come from only the window cone at the end, that most coils perform at. What I am trying to say is that a full 9 inches of detection response was at the end of the 13 to 15 inches that the gold ring responded too. The Headhunter Pi coil was responding close to what the Sovereign DD coil does. Almost dectects from tip to tip at 12 to 15 inches of depth. The 11 inch Headhunter Pi coil had a full 9 inches of detection at the very bottom. Which means that you will get more coverage with each swing. Try this out. You will see the great results that this coil has.

I use the PI detectors to find gold nuggets in
the Az nd Nv desert. Will the head hunter work
for this? Thanks...joebody
