I have a poem with Doug's photo taken of a White Country Church....sooo posting it for you....hope you like it and of course it is looooong as usual! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

PS Please excuse the misspellings and errors....I didn't notice them until after scanning and sending to Doug S and family! I forgot to go back and correct but it is readable, I think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Ma! I appreciate you posting this for me! I really enjoyed it and am glad you are blessed with a talent for writing - unlike me. I saw that it was composed in Jan. of 2007. Chances are, I would lose something I wrote that far back! Ha! Errors? I didn't even notice any... of course I wasn't looking for them. When I am teaching, my students will ask, "Mrs. Hutchens, are you gonna count off for spelling on this test?" And I always tell them, "No! I'm NOT your English teacher! As long as I can figure out what you mean, or are trying to say - and you're right, then I won't count it wrong." Then I hear the sigh of relief from a room full of 11th graders... or whichever grade I happen to have at the time. Occasionally, I will require them to know how to spell something if it is of major importance, otherwise I'm pretty lenient. I suppose I'm wrong for not paying more attention to my own errors when writing, and/or not going back to proof read, but I reckon I've just got other fish to fry! Don't like to take the time to do it.

Thanks again, Ma! You're GREAT!

Lisa

Thanks Lisa, but it is and would be impossible for me to remember all the poems I write! I make copies and keep them either in notebooks for the years I write them or in my documents of the ones I resize and upload for the Forum! I sent this one to Doug and his family for him to show Brian and read to him, as I thought it would please him so much to see his dad's photo attached about the subject of the photo taken! Doug is an excellent photographer and he has given me permisson to write poetry to some of the photos I have in my picture and doc files! He posted an image of himself reflected in an ornament taken a few Christmases ago and I wrote a poem and sent it to him to show and read to Brian, too! I like to give others pleasure, courage and enjoyment when I am able or can and the talent I have is a God given gift from Him! We all have talents and gifts to use for God's glory and praise and to give Jesus thanks for.....we just have to be brave and use them! Many talents and gifts on here besides writing Christian poetry to be used for Jehovah God and Jesus, His only begotten Son, Who gave His all for us! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
