Finally FINALLY, after many a fortnight, I treated myself to a day of detecting, Even got the wife to go also. We dug a few coins. She used The predator lll, and I used the Ex ll. It has been so long since I went exploring I am having to re-learn my machine. (But it comes back fast) I posted on the Minelab Explorer forum a while ago but not much happnin over there. So how is everyone? Its been a few weeks, more, a lot more, months, at least not a year since I last posted on this area. Any new stuff for the Ex ll? Mines still all stock except for the add-on pin-pointer. Can these units be sent back to the factory for updates in programming? Have any of you heard of the ExllEm emulator program, and are there any updates to same, such as zip files and such. Also the last time I researched the Joey coil was a good investment, never got one though. Any good recommendations over the stock coil? Well I hope you all have a closet full of finds. I hunt with a MInelab but mine's a Safari. Therefore I cannot help you with the Explorer II but there are several here that may be able to help you.
Hope all is good down there. hey my best tip would be to get an 8" Minelab coil. They seperate very good, and get almost as good of depth as the stock coil. I use mine 90% of the time!
