Hit some tot lots with wifey over the weekend.

Hey gang! Hit some tot lots and other areas of a city park with wifey over the weekend, yesterday & today(Sunday). She used her Ace 250 with sniper coil as usual. I was armed with my trusty Scorpion with 4.5 inch Crossfire Goldhunter coil. No older coins, just clad(unless you count a 1941 nickel, which is still just a nickel). Lots of the usual junk/trash(pulltabs, bottletops, etc.). Got a beautiful sound(signal) over by the swing set today and dug up a large men's 10k gold ring. Did the happy dance and went over to show wifey my nifty find. She calmly said "Oh that's nice, honey, lookey what I found." She showed me a sweet 18k gold ladies ring with what looks like a 1k marquis diamond!(still need to have it appraised). I congratulated her and walked off with my tail tucked between my legs and continued to swing away at my section of the park. Nothing else was found but junk & clad. All in all it was a great weekend. We enjoyed the lovely weather and had picnic. This is my first time postin' pics. Hope they turn out okay. Thanks for lookin'.

Well I'm speechless.

Chris

Look at the diamond with a loupe or a good magnifying glass. It's easy to tell a diamond from a CZ or simulated stone. Your wife got her best ever find a bit early in her career. Try to photograph the rings using bright sunlight. They might come out better.

Dang! What a good day! and YOUR WIFE ENJOYS IT TOO!!!!! That's awesome. Mine loves football and will watch it with me but she hasn't moved up to swinging a tector yet tho!:garrett:

Good job you two!!!!!!!!!

I was right, Metalhead! Remember my reply to your first post?

:nopity:"Better watch for your wife showing you up - she's got a 250!:clapping:

Just kidding!!!! Glad you joined us. Two rings is a good day to remember.

Those are nice finds, my wife just had a new hip put in, so she isnt in the mood for jumping up and down, and to think she is eight years younger, maybe I need a new model like the detector, I am watching out for ufo's now ha ha Good Job hunting, and if you see my wife tell her to be nice! ha ha

Hey, thanks for lookin', guys. I posted a better pic that I took out in the sunshine on the advice of Chris. Thanks Chris. And yes guys, I'm blessed to have a wife that joins me in this wonderful hobby. She's a keeper. I used to have to drag her out prospectin' with me, 'til she got a little look at that color comin' out of the ground. YELLOW METAL GOLD! Now she drags me out to go huntin' Oh yes, and rglyons, you are correct sir. She and that Ace are quite formidable. She often time shows up this old soldier:nopity: No complaints here. She did a killin' on some southern California beaches about a year ago. Put me to shame Found some bling and another ring with a big rock in it.
Alright! Thanks again, guys!

Yeah before MS took her down my wife was my hunting, fishing, prospecting, metal detecting partner and my best buddy. She would even go out at night and catch night crawlers for our fishing trip the next day. I sure miss her tagging along and she really misses going. Life can be a real bitch.
