The first hunt, I came away with a 1920 Merc and 2 Wheat pennies. I search a different part today and my take was 2 Indians (1882 & 1900), one Wheat (1915) and clad (.75 in Quarters, one dime and 2 pennies) added to it. I'm trying to get the Indians and Wheat cleaned up so I can show you some nice pictures. The Wheat has like a fine gravel coating on it's back. Not sure what that's from. Any cleaning suggestions?

The Wheat still needs some cleaning.

Congratulations on the finds! Isn't it fun to pull out coins that old? Thanks for the pictures!

Good job pulling some more oldies! I'm guessing there is more to be had at that park.

Sorry, can't offer any cleaning help for your coppers--the coppers I get are usually totally green and as soon as I try to clean them with anything (olive oil, hydrogen peroxide, etc.), they pretty much disintegrate into a rusty slug that you can't even tell the date on. Your Indians look pretty good compared to mine. You might try a search for cleaning tips on this and the Explorer forum--I hope you have good luck.

Thanks for posting.
