Well, I had 2 hours to kill today after work, so off I went to my new honey hole <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
I still have no idea how far this site extends...as I hit the same area again. I really think I need to grid it off and search it as all of these and the finds from the past few days have been from zig-zagging all over the place.
Anyhow, I'll give you a run down of my finds as some of the pics aren't great. Terrible lighting.
A 1902 U.S. "V" nickel, an 1887 indian head penny, a 1912 large cent, a 1912 fishscale, a 1902 vicky dime, a 1920 penny, 1930 penny, 1932 penny. That's it for coins.
Aside from the coins though, I found this strange token. Unfortunately it's been pierced and worn as a necklace. Anyhow, on one side is a huge building of sorts. It says "Semi-Centennial" and "1884". There is also a very small initial "G.W"
The other side also has a building and what looks like a windmill, with an ox pulling a cart in front of it. It says "Toronto 1834" Very cool token. Any ideas!? Thanks for looking.

Could the one token be the 100 year anv. of the inauguration of George Washington?
Ain't the other one what they call a bank token and was currency?
I ain't never found a silver canadian dime! I have only found one fishscale. Lucky for me it was an 1884 in XF shape! <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">

a 50 year celebration (semi centennial), of the founding of the Toronto (Canadian National Exhibition). I didn't look it up, but that's my best guess.

I know we were both sweating with the trip across the border <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> Keep those good finds coming!!
