Hit the park again today 31Dec

It had been so long since I have had a chance to get out, I thought I would go back to the park I hit yesterday just to exercise my ear a bit. Not as many nickels as yesterday but I did manage 9. Also 14 quarters, 22 dimes and 32 pennies. If you thought pulling pennies out with a 38 was crazy, try pennies at 18 and 21. I was in C&J mode and cross checked them with All Metal. 18 became19 and 21 became 22. They were very corroded. I just couldn't believe it. Even threw it on the ground and rechecked it...same thing. The park was good to me, about $15 over the last two days. A friend's son just got a new Ace 250. I think I will take him there so he can get use to his new machine. Not too much junk to confuse him.
Enough clad hunting, time to find some relics and silver!!!

Thanks for looking,
HH,

You must be a hole digging maniac... How fast are you in recovering a coin.... How long does it take you per coin?

Looking to understand what techniques are employed by these frenzyed park sharks when the dig 50+ coins in a day....

I am taking about 8 to 10 minutes per recovery. That's cutting the plug digging finding recovering and refilling and replacing the plug...

A good day for me average to about 10 coins...

Wish I were a land shark...

Hi Ed,
I use a small trowel from Lowes. I try to recover the items like these in less then 2 mins. I take my time on the detecting part so I don't miss a good signal. This was a virgin park so I was getting signals every step or two. I skipped over a lot of penny signals. Most of these coins were less then 5 inches. I cut the plug, use my pistol probe (hugh help with speed), recover the item and replace the plug asap. I use a plastic tray to hold the dirt so it goes back in easier with less visible signs that I was there. I will look back and make sure the ground is looking good as I go. Deeper targets obviously will take more time and effort. But this was shallow clad day so I could really move.
Hope that helps,
HH,
Bunker
