I bet somewhere down range there is a bunch of lead! Save that brass! 
There must be 1000's of those shells in this area. All about 6 inches down. They must have added soil over the whole area when it was converted to a park. I stopped digging when an officer park his car and watched me for a good half hour. Then I started popping out shallow clad so he wouldn't see my Digging tool.......I didn't want any problems.

Look at the bright side of it, you've gotten outside to detect and enjoy God's creation. I finally got out a couple of days ago for a short time and found all of 59 cents but it was a beautiful morning.
