It was so nice, the beach was private and very little people on it at all. It had several pools and Loren managed to swim in 4 of them. She had a blast and so did we. I went detecting two differnt mornings and beach detecting is not my thing. I like digging in the grass finding old things. Although believe it or not my very first dig on the beach was a 1951 wheat penny . I found several coins but no jewelry. I did not hunt it hard enough to find jewelry though. I hunted for about 45 minutes each time and at home I hunt for hours at a time. Just do not like hunting in the sand. My metal detector did fine once I put it in beach mode . I had to lower the sensitivity when I got in the wet sand though. The beach was very clean , every place i hunt at home has way more trash than that. And the beaches were not even swept while we were there.
GOD blessed us with a fun and safe trip. Man was it good to sleep in my own bed last night. Thanks for the prayers everyone.

Glad you all had a nice vacation and enjoyed your time relaxing at the beach and Loren playing and splashing in the pools! Sounds like there might not be many people there to lose anything being a private beach or there is someone or others hunting the beach, too! Yes, it is always nice to be back home and in our own bed.....better sleeping being tired from a long trip! May God Bless with finding lots of goodies from the grassy lands! Amen! Ma Betty

Glad all went well for you. I have found that vacation detecting isn't ever as good as at home detecting. Steve in so az
