Recently payed a visit to the artillery test range in my area and found a first for me: an almost complete flintlock pistol lock. Also found the blown off fragments from a 12 pdr spherical case shot with underplug and several pieces of cast shot nearby and stretched out toward the firing position.

Way to go Dave on finding the flintlock pistol lock and 12 pdr. fragments, those are exciting to find. Enjoyed your speech given at our club and look forward to hearing from you again buddy, take care!
 
Steve: Looks like you ain't doing too bad yourself. Very nice recent finds. Trying to get Jim Niemann to hold "Spring Rendezvous" some time soon. Don't know if it will happen or not, but if it does hope to see you there.
