Found these at an artillery practice range. Eight of case-shot were strung out in an elliptical pattern about 15 feet long and about 8 feet wide. The ellipse pointed to the direction of fire and the fuse (Bormann) was found at the end of the ellipse away from the firing. This is just as it should be.

The case shot was found under our old friends the cedar trees and were black when I washed them. This might have been from internal rosin/sulfur. Had to use Krud Kutter to clean them up.
