Homesick!!!

Hey Yall,

I've had to travel (business trips - with the exception of one) for half of February and ALL of March. I've been away from home again all week and will get home tomorrow night just to do my laundry, repack and leave again on Sunday. I don't mind 2-3 days, here and there, but this has been ridiculous. It's about to come to an end but in the meantime I am homesick! I miss my kids (even though they are grown and don't live with me anymore), I miss my dogs & the cats, my mountains, my house, my recliner... and yes, even Tim. lol Could use some prayer to get me through the next few days!

Whew! Your schedule wears me out! Be safe and try to enjoy your time away from home. It really is true, there's no place like home.
 
I like my home as I stay here most of the time but should try to get out more often! Praying for you, Lisa, to be back home soon and safety for travelling while staying away from the family! May our good Lord give you strength to endure and the power to overcome the business trips and then rejoice when you arrive home again to stay longer than the length of time you have had to travel and attend meetings! they are greatly appreciated! Like I said, it will be over soon. For some reason all these trips just happened to fall close to each other. It's not unusual for me to have to go for a night or two, once in a blue moon, but I reckon these folks all decided to have training and workshops at almost the same time.

Hey Mike, some people must have been praying to get rid of the pool hall, because there was a tavern called, Yellow Dog Saloon, near where my sister and family used to live.....the church people prayed and the place burned down....God answers prayers and allows things to happen for the peoples good and for His purpose! I don't usually travel this much! Matter of fact, I've NEVER traveled this much! For the past 1 1/2 months I've been having to go to workshops, training, conferences and other work related things. For some crazy reason it seems as if EVERYTHING was scheduled close together. It's about to settle down again and then I'll have to travel only on rare occasions. I am the Case Manager for Blount County Drug Court & Community Corrections (that's Blount County, Alabama). I used to be a high school teacher but at the end of last summer, God saw fit to change my career to the judicial/corrections field.

So glad and so thankful to be here!!! I get to spend a whole day here tomorrow and then I'm off to Nashville on Sunday.

How long will you be in Nashville, Lisa? We are VERY close....don't know if we could make it down on a worknight tho.....That is my absolute favorite place to be, other than home of course!
 
what i am homesick for is HEAVEN & SEEING JESUS .CANNOT WAIT TO GET OUT OF DODGE AND GO TO MY PERMANENT MANSION.THIS WORLD IS FULL OF VIOLANCE ,HURT,AND PAIN AND IT GETS WORSE DAY BY DAY.I AM JUST PASSING BY THIS WORLD HAS NOTHING FOR ME.GLORY TO GOD WE HAVE A FUTURE.:happy:
 
Yes, Bill this world is not our home we are just travelling through until we inherit our mansion way beyond the blue and there is a better home awaiting by and by when we accept, love and know Jesus as our own personal Savior and serve Him with truth and gladness! I pray, God Jehovah save those who will be saved; then come quickly, Lord Jesus! Amen!
 
I will leave here to go back home on Wednesday afternoon. Classes start for this training mess I'm here for in the morning and will go until 6 every evening. Looks like my schedule is gonna be tight anyway. We WILL work it out to get together sometime! Not sure when it will happen, but we are too close together not to meet up someday. :)
