honest depth readings with 5" coil?

Ok I want a honest opion on depth in mild ground? on top of the ground air test I am getting 6-7" disc and around 10-11" all-metal.This is just putting a penny(copper) on top of my mild soil and using a measuring tape to get a rough estimate of depth. This is full gain.
I think the depth issue was fixed on my detector.Just wondeing if this is about correct?

G2 - 5" DD Coil
Air test
Ground Phase in my soil 46 to 52

....... Disc. Mode "0" Setting.......Disc. Mode "40" Setting............. All Metal
................. Gain 100............................... Gain 100........................... Gain 100

1c................7 1/2"......................................7 1/2"..................................9 1/2"

5c...............8 3/4".......................................8 3/4"....................................11"

In ground test in Disc. mode, a very weak signal on a 7" clad dime when conditions are right using headphones.

In ground test in AM mode, a very weak signal on a 9" dime when conditions are right using headphones.

Right on! thanks for the great reply.
This should give me a idea of what to look for. I still think my machine is running right now.Just need some in soil test's to prove this. Thanks again dude.

Depth seems right now.Tests confirm about 7" on a penny-a inch more on the quarter and a little less on a dime.Nickle tested the best.
Pretty happy with the machine now.The 5x10 will give me more than enough depth.
