Honky Tonk Woman

still a "Queen" at closing time
Well done Linda, been there many times.

Sounds as though a good time was had by all. I know my tolerance for alcohol is down these years too. I pretty much limit myself to a glass of red wine these days.{Believe it or not, Docs orders.}
But there were a few times.....
all the best

In a 3 Stooges film they go to Scotland to visit their
cousin, Mc Firth, and try to help him catch the thieves
who are robbing him.
Mc Firth goes over to a cabinet, opens it and pulls out
a 200 year old bottle of Scotch.
He removes the stopper and holds a shotglass upside down above the Scotch.
Then he brings it up to his nose and just SMELLS it, and staggers like he had downed a shot.
THAT is my limit.

RoC Colas and sweet tea are the only things in order here.
Besides, we can REMEMBER these things, these parties, for a long time.
Grandbabies make the world go 'round donchaknow. <><
Love ya Sis,
Johnboy
(good story, by the way)

I find it is much different if you are not looking for someone special than if you are. If that special somene is at home, partying is not much fun... At least for me.

It appears that you had a great time celebrating with your friends, while using common sense in regards to drinking. When attending a social event, I will carry a glass of coke and no one is ever the wiser to it. You did good!!! Thanks for sharing this story, and please have a great day! get, the more I find out truly what my limits are. It's just ridiculous that some people want to force you to have a drink. Sounds like you and I may be getting smarter as we get older?????

of was how Scott would have enjoyed the piano bar since he is so good at music trivia! I have to admit though, I have shared a few drinks and made a fool of myself on many occasions, but that was years ago. I had fun, but I still got home past my bedtime!

wish little David would have been there, and the photo would be complete. It's hard to get everyone together all at once!

tip on how "not to" drink!

before, and I just cannot find one that I like. Every thing has to taste like soda pop for me, unless it's a glass of white zin.

tell them the kind of wine we want, and when it is ready to be bottled, then add the appropriate amount of sweetener. Then we wait to drink it for at least 3 months.

U wimmen can be sooooo sneeky at times like this..........now i know what happened to all my house plants back when i partied a lot
I smile at your choice to not drink and drive, very good choice

fern than me, though! Seriously, two glasses of wine registers over the Arkansas limit, and I just cannot take the chance!

of one of these places. I think the red wines are a lot drier than the white zin and blush wines, but if you could get a sweeter taste, then the red wine would be good I think! I'll ask around and see if there is any place around here that does that!
