HOT, HUMID, and DRY...................:surrender:

I think this is the worse HEAT wave we've had in a long time here in Northern Iowa..........plus the dang ole humidity...........plus what little rain we've had has pretty much missed where I live, making the ground super hard to dig in......................one good thing out of all this heat, I'm getting some honeydo's done around the house so when the weather straightens out, a hunting I will go!!! :detecting:

Stay cool my friends...........Hawkeye Jim.

Gonna be in the upper 90's here in southeastern lower Michigan for the rest of the week. Predicting 99 degrees for Thursday...YIKES! Oh yes, the humidity will be here along with the temps. I had renamed the state in which I live to: Humichigan............NGE

Same here in SW MO  If you have a iron laden site that you are OK to dig at in these very dry conditions you can pull some goodies that are normally masked.Just gotta stay outta nice lawns and other manicured areas so as not to kill the grass and hurt our hobby/addiction :twodetecting:
My old square nail infested CW site on private pasture has come alive but some very hard digging.

Hey Ray-Mo., What do you mean you can pull some goodies out of iron laden sites? Does the hot dry weather help unmask targets? If so could you please explain. Thanks and HH.

Right on Ray.......I wouldn't even dream of asking someone to hunt their house yard right now........I did hunt an old empty lot about a week ago that I know the owner doesn't care about and got some wheaties, a couple of tokens, and one silver Rosy......but boy was it hard digging!!!

I'm in SW Wisconsin, about 10 miles from the Miss. It's brutal here, I'm to the point where I might try night hunting.
