That is a very nice 1871! It is one of four that I am missing (1870, 1871, 1876 and 1908-S) before completing the whole Indian Head cent collection.

Congrats!

I usually boycott posts with too many emoticons, but wanted to show off probably my best coin find. Over a $400 find! What would you grade it at?

The standing lib is a cracked die, You cad see it on the date and on the wing on the right side. The 1922 is in nice shape.

HOLY COW! What's the story on that one? There's supposed to be only like 10-40 known or so and worth a couple hundred grand. Definitely worth getting authenticated, as there have been fakes.

I was reading somewhere on the forums these are being made and beleive they cost less than a buck, but are not real and could be copper coated steel pennies. Just like any rare coin someone seems to make one and there will be a slight difference than the real one.

not trying to be rude or anything, BUT i highly doubt that '43 wheat is real. if it was, and it was mine i would sell it and buy myself a lambo. then when everyone asks how much i paid for it i would say a penny and i wouldn't be liein:rofl:

send it off to see if its real. i have a hard time believeing its real, but if it is, your a "few" thousands bucks richer.

To danalf,

According to my '2010 edition of A Guide Book Of United States Coins' the 1943 Copper Penny in good condition
is only worth between 30 - 40 cents.
I don't know where a lot of people are getting this information that this penny is worth a fortune. Check the facts.

I apologise. The zinc penny is worth only 30-40 cents. The copper penny is worth a fortune.
I'm sorry for my mistake.
