Hot Virginia dirt

Anyone used the Explorer SE in the hot Virginia dirt?
 
Depends on where in VA. If around Culpeper then you can expect to get less than half the depth you are used to. I used my Explorer at a couple DIV hunts and did OK but could not get any depth. Since then I have used pulse machines which ignore the iron dust they call dirt.
