Hotel on the River

stubbs1

New member
:usmc:Don't post much anymore, can't hunt very long at a time. Did get out awhile yesterday to an old hotel site along the Iowa River. It's only about a mile or so to the Missisippi river.Boats use to bring supplies & people up the river. The lady who owns it lives close to me & I take her over a meal of Morrel mushroons & crappie fillets all cooked up every year & she was telling me about this place. I never found a wheat but got 3 indians a 1917 merc & a Missouri sales tax reciept. First one of them I've found. Take care & HH

Nice finds. I have found a few of those tokens before when I lived in Missouri.

Nice finds! Three Indian Heads & a Merc and no wheats is fine with me. Morel mushroom season is coming to the end here in Ohio. I think the last time I had crappie fillets was as a kid while on vacation at my friend's relatives in MO. Great memories. HH

How I would love to find some stuff like you do up north. congrats and keep swinging

You did great stubbs1! Nice injuns and merc  Looks like you found a nice old place to hunt.
I,d rather find a few good old coins than a big handfull of clad any day.
