well when i was out detecting today i dug a nickle signal and when i cut the plug and flipped it over i checked again for the signal....nothing! after a couple miniutes of trying to figure out where my original target was i checked the small clump of dirt on the end of my knife and there it was.. a nice little pulltab stuck in the little clump of dirt on the end of my knife.(i wonder how many times of done that before and not realized it?

years ago when i was using the old machines i used to carry two or three gold rings with me and bury them to see how the machine reacted.I buried a 10kt wedding band about four inches deep.my buddy was hunting about 50 yards away and called me over to show me a good find he made,I decided to go home and got half way there and remembered the ring.i thought well ill get it tomorrow. The next day i went back and there was a newby ,and boy was he excited,he showed me his first gold ring.now would you believe my story if i told you it was my ring.I doubt it.so i congratulated him on his first ring and went on my merry way.

When I started detecting . My brother and I would check each others sig. On one of my first hunts with him he called me over to check out a sig.
He stood there with this grin on his face and the coil over what I thought was his find of a life time. It was and still is funny. A big pile of dog DOO DOO.

Well one day while detecting a old house I notices a very large ground hog running at me of coarse the closer it got the fangs grew and I knew this thing was going to have me for lunch so I reach for my gun and to my surprise I left it in the truck . now I love my Ace 250 and believe it's well made but at the time it was no match for a six and a half foot ground hog. so I stuck the ace out in front of me hoping to deflect the blow and it suddenly ran pasted me and under the house . I guess it didn't like the color of my ace . --- Graw
