I told you Michigans coach was a great coach, no ethics or character. Almost offense. Next year should be it for you guys on offense. Takes awhile when you wholesale change a program. The defense needs a lot of work though. Maybe next year? Your freshman quarterback made freshman mistakes. Our sophmore quarterback made freshman mistakes just not as many and not as crtical.
May God bless you and yours,

:starwars:

Yeah we now have a yound team, with everything changed! Maybe in a year or two who knows???

If the practice violations stick he may not be around for next year. Then here we go again. I do think he understands the rivallry though. Michigan came out ready to play. Wish espn had better announcers that don't speak the obvious to everyone except that have a minimal knowledge of football. Loydd Carr was a worthy adversary and a class act.I honestly liked him, wrong school but worthy opponent.
May God bless you and yours,

the game would have been much closer if not for the turnover mistakes!

If he had won half of his games with Michigan OSU would be within striking distance to take the lead.
Rick I have some long lost relatives in Iowa. Do you know any Hurleys?

It's hard to win National Championships with Freshman and sophmores. At least in the SEC when those kids commit to play it's mostly for 4 tears. Neither conference, Big Ten, Pac ten has shown a dominating team so neither is participating in a National Championship Game. If it ends up Alabama and Florida I expect a good game. As I said I'm expecting a good game in the Rose Bowl.

Dont you think that some of those SEC teams are over-exposed and over-rated? They seem to be very inbred in that they only play themselves and rarely play any power house teams out of their conference.

are consistantly on top of the heap and are frequently raided by the NFL. USC has had this finally catch up with them. You just can't keep reloading and getting the cream of the crop recruits every year. Ohio State and Michigan players are heavily favored by the NFL also because they are consistantly on top of the heap. Either there or close by. Michigan's new coach wholesale changed their program. It will take at least 4 years to accomplish that but the alumni may not be willing to wait that long for a victory over Ohio State. Florida with the consistant winning programs of recent years is in this boat. Texas has been consistant again recently. Oklahoma"s program is on the rebound but a loss to Boise State doesn't help or Michigan's loss to Appalachian State doesn't do well to your national image or NFL recruitment either. As I had said before the kids of the SEC actually commit for 4 years for the most part. As a conference I would say that the SEC and I think that any of our southern posters can tell you, the fans give their all for their teams and they expect the same from their teams. Vince Lombardi of the Green Bay Packers fame once said "winning isn't the most important thing, it's the the only thing", the fans of the SEC live by that creed. Outside of their area we can somewhat handle a loss. They can't. ALL the other teams in the conference are the enemy. It's a whole different mindset. As far as playing outside the conference goes those games are set up well in advance and it does your team great good to play all comers. Being outside the SEC I haven't followed their scheduling non-conference oponents. If you want you could look up their conference and scheduling on espn.
May God bless you and yours.

You're right, Paul! The saying around the South is; "In the East, college football is a cultural exercise. On the West Coast, it is a tourist attraction. In the Midwest, it is a leisurely way to spend an afternoon. But in the South, college football is a religion, and every Saturday is a holy day." It truly IS a different mindset here. Same thing goes for high school football.
