how and why?

-The audio threshold level, change the sound, finest high conductive objects, not low fine, how and why?

-VariabilitY, high or low, I like high of 30, to hear more different objects,
how and why?

As far as variability goes I prefer the max of 30. It seems to makes identifying the false iron signals easier. They come in as a very high TINK.
 
The theshold level I set so I can barely hear it and then bump it up one number. Depends on how much outside nosie there is. Now the Threshold pitch I like at 29 because it sounds more like my SE. Best thing to do is to get a silver dime and test it at different levels to see what you like. Think the factory preset is 15.

The variability I set at 29.

I recently turned my threshold up, to hear the nulls better. I like it being more audible so I don't miss anything.
