New member
thank you very much for yours answer ,
i set my gti 2500 system with new gold ring( i found my new ring gold signal on 3.5 and 4 on garrett system) i want to know old gold coins around 700-2500 years ago have a new signal or same ? ( i found my new ring gold signal on 3.5 and 4 on garrett system) for old gold metal around 700-2500 years ago is the same ? or not ? if your answer is not ,witch signal indicated by garrett system on gold with old ages?

best regards.

I'm pretty sure we answered this question on your other post? If you want the gold you have to dig it all.

this is & tricky question "new gold" as you put it can hit from iron/foil to 1c on my ACE witch is quite a large range of ID segments & with the old gold it"s way deeper witch makes the signals harder to pick up & will make it lower on the ID range ( i have heard some small medieval hammered gold coins hit iron ) i"d dig from foil up also dig if it"s bouncing between foil & iron as a lot of small gold does this.
most pro diggers in the UK / Europe are lucky to find 1 gold coin a year so be patient & be prepared to dig lots of trash.
:detecting: may the gold rain down on ya :detecting:

Likely the old gold which would be closer to 24k would sound more different than the modern gold rings that have % percentages of other metals mixed in them.
I would think they would be closer to lead readings.
Like Khouse said dig it all to find it..
