Welcome greenhorn2 to our forum and if you said thanks and he said it was enough to see you alive then you've done all you can do and accept what he says! Maybe if you want to do more then find out what he or his family might need or want done and do something for him (them) that way....but I think he has already told you that your being alive means more to him than anything! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

you being alive was all the thanks he needed.
A humble hero.

"Thanks" and walk away. Of course fresh peanut butter cookies are always good LOL That is a tough thing but you have to remember that your life is enough. A Hero is not in it for the glory or they are not a hero.

You may be feeling that a bond was formed or that you would like a bond to form, this is natural, sometimes that is the way it is, other times not so. The thanks you have given will be good for now. It is up to you to live a Godly life and do the Lords work and "pay it forward" so to speak. If that individual sees you doing good in the community he will know that in some small way he contributed. Remember being a good Christian and TRYING to live a Godly life is Gods work. That will over flow into those around you and if you are unable or not called to do the physical heavy lifting there is always other ways to participate and the Lord will lead you and you should listen, WE ALL SHOULD.

Pray about it and follow your heart and the passions that God put there. There is your thanks.

God bless and we are glad the Lord put someone there to save you!
Jeff
