How do the All Metal modes on the 2500 and 250 compare?

I would appreciate a comparison between the All Metal modes on the 2500 and the Ace 250. Is the All Metal mode on the 250 similar to the Zero Discrimination mode on the 2500? I am familiar with the 2500 but not the 250.

The all metal mode on the ACE is different from the true all metal mode on the GTI 2500. The ACE does have some cut off points. The GTI has what's referred to as a "true all metal mode." It goes considerably deeper then the ACE, yet still will show a probability of what the target is. It is also more sensitive to smaller targets. The GTI 2500 with a sniper coil using the true all metal mode is a killer.

Hope this helps........

All metal on the 250 is basically zero discrimination whie the 2500 has true all metal, manually or automatically balanced and adjusted.

Thank you, much, for your comments and comparison between the All Metal modes on the two detectors. This will help me make a decision on either a backup or specific purpose machine for the future. Yes, I have the 4.5 inch coil for the 2500 and it works very well. Thanks again.

Based on my experience with the two of them, I prefer to hunt with the 2500 in Coin Zero mode. If I'm unsure, I switch over to the All Metal. Most of the time, the screen readout agrees with what I find when I dig.

If your intent is most coin shooting, I suspect the Ace with the large coil will find at least 90% of what the 2500 will find, and it is a lot easier to swing.
