How do you like your Sharp Shooter II ?

Any good stories? Best finds? Comparison to other detectors you own? Or is it now just another BH Dinosaur?

I enjoyed mine when I had it. A good no nonsense detector. Great for coin fishing/hunting. At the beach a good dry sand detector. Great for parks and tot-lots. I upgraded to the Landstar for the depth indicator and manual ground balance. To be honest the depth indicator was nice but rarely do I look at it when I'm hunting. Auto Notch is a nice mode. Dinosaur, not really.

I had a Sharp Shooter II, plus a more expensive model of a different brand, neither could compare to the 505 I have now.
The Sharp Shooter was a little easier to pinpoint, and was accurate with its display, plus a little lighter.A good machine, but,
My 505 whips it big time on depth,up to maybe 3 inchs in disc.

JMO....................Dano.

I found one of my best finds with mine a class ring. I have a x-terra now and it is alot deeper. But the sharp shooteris a good detector and it does have a groubd balance. I turn my disc all the way down just up enough to get the multi tones. I still use it every once in a while.
