How do you post a picture?

Went out detecting yesterday, and found an old knife, which resembles a butter knife, but is shorter, with a blade that resembles a modern hobbie knife. Thought I might post a picture, and see if anybody knows what it is. If you can tell me how to post the picture, I'll put it on the site.

How I do it is click post new topic, then write what you want in the subject line. Then write what you want in the lower box. Then click upload file. then click browse. You will then need to locate the pic in your files. When you do click on it and it will turn blue. then click open. Then click upload and wait a few seconds. You will see a new box that says create a link in message. Click that and it will show up in the lower box. Click preview to see if it is what you want then click post!

(seperate issue) After you read a post, scroll down just a bit and write your reply in that box then hit post. That way your reply will be under that post. The person you are replying to will know you have replied to them.

Okay my brain ain't working tonight(actually alot of nights). Hey Mike. Tried your directions, but I think my picture is too big to upload. I am not to smart when it comes to digital cameras and computers. My picture is 2080x1368 with 563 KB. Says picture can only be 460 KB. How can I change the picture format. Bear with me I'll get it someday.

Right click on the pic in your computer and email it to yourself. You should get an option to make it smaller before you send it.
Then check your email and then right click on the pic and save as... and put it in a file where you keep pics. then it will be the right size.
