How have you used the multiprocessing/stereo options so far?

While I'm intrigued by the multiprocessing options and stereo headphones that XP have released, I've found their explanation of when and how these might be useful in the field to be lacking.

Therefore, I want to hear from people who have a pair of stereo headphones and have played around some or all of the four multiprocessing options. How have they helped you so far? Are there specific kinds of situations where you used one of these to your benefit?

I'll start. I've been mostly using a modified version of the dual axis setup (option 4). My modified version involves copying over the settings from the Sensitive Full Tones program (tweaked to my sites, of course) to channel 1 in a custom slot in the multiprocessing menu (option 5, "User"). On channel 2, I have the all-metal option with the volume turned down to 7.

This has been a great setup at some of my "hunted out" sites. The all-metal channel is deeper and more sensitive than Sensitive Full Tones, so I feel like I'm hearing more targets. The combination of programs works well together: All-metal tells me something is there, while SensFT gives me an idea of what it might be or (if I get a faint signal on that channel) that it's probably deep.

On a Civil War site that I've pounded, I got about eight bullets in a couple of hours using this setup. While some were obvious bullet signals in SensFT (probably just didn't walk over them previously), others gave only the faintest signal in that program but a more definite one in AM. Sometimes those broken SensFT/solid AM signals were iron, but every one was around a foot deep -- not too shabby, especially since I was using the 9" coil.

The audio of this combination wasn't hard or exhausting to listen to. I think that's because I'm used to SensFT, and the low square setting on the AM channel was distinct from what I heard in SensFT. I also created a custom dual reactivity setup that also has SensFT settings on channel 1, but so far have found that running two disc programs so similar to each other makes everything sound good -- even deep iron that my dual axis setup more accurately IDs. There's probably a version of dual reactivity that would work better for me, but I haven't had time to tinker with settings yet.

Overall, I'm happy with what I've seen so far, but feel that I've barely scratched the surface of what these settings can do.
