How is everyone doing with the Platypus coil? performance feedback?

So far the Platypus meets my hunting needs, The 1 1/2 inches of extra coverage without the extra weight has increased my finds per hour.

I bought mine for the weight savings - too bad it weighs the same as the stock coil. I am still going to take them both down to the market and weigh them. I cannot tell a difference. If I had known I probably would not have bought one. 16 oz???
It does seem to be very sensivitive, is well balanced and rivals the stock coil.

For the same weight I'll stick with the stock 10.5 or the excelerator 12.5. The depth and handling of the minerals are no different then the stock in my test garden. I also can't believe it was made wider for the shaft mounting, nothing but a hassle to slide in the washers for a guy who may only have one shaft to work with. Also, it should of been made to accept the standard Minelab bolt. Mine will be listed for sale.
