How is Fishers customer service?

I've all but decided to get a CZ-21 but would like to ask you folks what you think of Fishers customer service. I use a Goldmaster GMT now and Whites does a great job of taking care of their customers and turning around problem detectors, unlike my experience with Minelab and their service philosophy of "we're Minelab, we don't have to care". That's one of the reasons the CZ-21 is at the top of my list instead of the Excalibur II.

When the new consolidated Fisher was new was a little shaky but they are improving as time goes by and lately hearing many positive remarks.
As far as Whites been around a long time and really provide excellent service after the sale and surely one of the best...

I sent in a 3D ( 2nd owner ) that wasn't working properly. I figured I was going to buy a new coil, however,
Felix fixed it FREE & returned back to me working great.
I've owned Fishers off & on since the 1260X 1st came out.

This is the 2nd detector I've sent back in 20+ years & service on both units has been top notch.
Highly recommended................see ya yardhunter

I like Fisher products but when I first purchased my F4, I was concerned that it hadn't been properly set-up....still suspect it's not quite up to spec. I sent Fisher a total of 3 emails and received absolutely NO response.

Tsk Tsk Tsk. Shame on Fisher.

Bought a later serial CZ 3d brand new from local dealer. I was never happy with its performance, it certainly didn't seem like it was hitting
NASA Tom's test specs. I talked to Felix..shipped it back to Fisher for fixing and it came back with a new coil, and newly calibrated. It not only meets Tom's specs
but it surpasses them. High tones on nickles, and silver dimes at 12" air testing. I found a mercury dime in wet sand nearly 16 inches down..crazy man just crazy performance now. I almost sold it when I had back surgery, I'm thankful the sale fell through, it's the best detector I have ever owned, and I find alot more with it than I did with my Explorer II, it's' much easier to use for me. Still falses on iron like any CZ but I find that I just trust my instinct and if the beep don't repeat in an x pattern or seems flaky, it's iron. I test to make sure and it turns out iron each time.

Coins give that distinct crispy chirr noise we all expect from CZ's

Total turnaround time was about 2 1/2 weeks. I can finally say my CZ performs the way Tom meant for them to. Its hotter than my buddy's 1121 while still stable. Nothing but great experience with new Fisher customer service.

The only other company that compares with them is WHITES. FISHER has services 3 machines for me this year and I have nothing but positive things to say.

They did a great job for me Recalbrated my CZ-6a new coil and coil connector at the box shipped it back to N.Y. $155.00 in 2 weeks just this summer.
thanks Gary G.A.P.metal

Sent my CZ-21 in for repairs a little over two weeks ago. It is on it's way back home and should be back in my hands in a couple of days. My machine has been practically completely rebuilt and even has a new coil and coil cover. I want to thank Felix and his tech Daniel for giving such good and quick service. Thanks Fisher team!

Let's see how long you hit em hard with no explanation - - - -
If this is the attitude you approached them with, I can see why it might. Instead of blanket blasting, let's see some details.

Yes 25 bucks and he said himself it worked when he got it and FIVE MONTHS later
it does not work and he wants a free fix.

Kaptian K said a dealer told him it was a coil problem . Well let him fix it next time.

Is this whole thing about a $25 return shipping cost?

the 25 bucks don't matter, what matters is they didn't do the right thing here this guy is talking about they fixed something that somebody else did incorrectly for free but they made me pay for something that they did or didn't do. i explained to them before I even returned it what the situation was, the detector had not been used period, it was put in storage for the winter. that means the repair they made was defective, so #1 i lost a significant portion of my detecting season because they didn't repair the unit correctly. and #2 they didn't even respond to me for several weeks after numerous attemps on my part to contact them via voice mail & email. so maybe if they ignore it it will go away?

So from my perspective their service SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steve

I said it made tones on metal I never used it detecting and the next time I turned it on it didn't work, so is it fixed if it will turn on 1 time and then won't?

And guess what it was the coil, it was probably just a guess on my dealers part, hey?

If I have a customer tell me it could be a certain problem, I am certainly going to make sure that isn't the problem. Using your customers for quality control is a very bad habit to get into!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it is fixed now. And I have been a loyal Fisher user, the detector atleast when it was a 20 was really good, I don't have enough time on the 21 to say one way or the other.
