I've had mine for right at two years so the warranty is getting ready to expire. I haven't had any problems with mine but thought I would ask if any of you have. Wondering if I should send it in for a check up before the warranty goes out but also am a believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Just thought I would ask for opinions. Thanks to everyone and have a good weekend.

March 9,06 will be the start of my EX II's 3rd year. Have had a few minor problems but noth'in that it needed to be sent to Vegas for. I got in on the 2 year extended warranty so I can breathe easy for 2 more years! If it ain't broke by now it probably won't, but my luck it will tomorrow!!! As far as a "tune up" goes...Dick told me that there is no such thing. He says if it works...don't mess with it! They are a hellava machine!!!

The coil died about 6 months after I got it But looking back, there were tell tale signs this rookie didn't see. Also had a problem with corrosion at the connection to the control box. Stuff happens.

All in all, I love the machine.

Thanks to each of you for your replies. I haven't had any problems at all but I've heard that repairs can be quite expensive so I would hate to have something go bang the day after my warranty expires. Guess it's silly to worry too much about something that hasn't happened. Thanks again.

The original XS and it has been my prime detector ever since, went back for warranty fix of cracked housing that all original XS's were susceptible to, but in over five years of hard brush beating the XS electronics have been great.
