how long

Well let's see...you can have it on forever. However when the batteries go dead it will still be on when its not on. TomB:clapping::surprised:
 
mev my batteries last 25 to 30 hours but Iknow that if I had a better quality of batteries they would last much longer
 
If you are asking how many hours can you get out of a set of batteries, I usually get between 35 - 40 with quality alkalines. JMO HH Randy
 
I run em till it shuts itself down then to the recharger. Do you mean how many hours straight? Many as you can stand to swing. I think my longest run was about 6 hours.

With fresh batteries, I think you will give out before the detector does!
