so that I would not get lost in the woods. Hey, I am lost in the instructions!!

Mine came up missing after a trip to TN last year. I was using it to take the kids geocaching. It was gone when I got back to MI. :(

Don - I have been using my GPS for many years and have found my way to probably 60 - 70 places , mostly along the old railroads. I find a site by name , go to the GNIS site online and get the numbers and go there. Couldn't be easier. Good luck, Steve in so az

Can't wait to see your first pics of gold!

I don't know if you use them or not, but I'd highly recommend Photobucket. They have some much improved bulk uploading software that you can use. In fact, once uploaded, posting is pretty easy. Just click on the code under your picture (the IMG code) and is copies it. Just paste in your post.

Shoot at the highest quality and upload the highest quality. When you post it on this forum, it's smaller but you can click on it to make it larger. For your post on the hallmark of that gold earring, You could shoot in macro in high quality, crop around the 14K, and then view at 100% (at least that's the way it works on my iMac) You wouldn't even need to use the magnifying glass. :)

Let me know if you have any questions. Vicky's cam and yours are basically the same.

which can be used to 'learn' it on a detector? Then yes.

When I would go water hunting I would often come home later than I had predicted when I left. Sorry honey, couldn't tell for sure what time it was. She took care of that with a water proof watch. Darn!

Also a couple of display cases.
