How many people here that have a Explorer use a x-1 probe?

I use a periscope probe for one reason. It has taught me more about my machine than I could ever imagine. I don't want to use it any more as a target locater in an open hole. Thats why I need to get the x-1 probe. I had some great luck on thursday and found a 1922 wheat and they say that it is worth 600 to 900 dollars. If that is true I will sell it and get my self an X-1. All my friend have them and they are sweet.

Not yet. I do use a pin pointer and it saves alot of time. I can just imagine how much nicer it will be once I do pick up this unit. I need to find a couple more pounds of clad or sell my RC Tamiya Tank to get the X-1. That should be by June I guess.

Hi;
Today was my first day using my new Exp2. Before buying it I did ALOT of reading on it and knowing how deep it goes, and seeing how much others comment on the X1 probe, I knew I should get one when I bought my EX2.
As I said, I have one day under my belt with the explorer, but I know that with the sunray x1 probe I spent alot less time trying to locate the finds in the hole. I have an Xterra 30 and an Excalibur also. With those I use a White's Bullseye probe, but after using the X1, it would be painfull to go back to that Whites Bullseye again.
The X1 saves you alot of time, meaning over the course of the day, you find more stuff!

I believe it's the best accessory for the Explorer II that money can buy. It's well worth the purchase price, not only in time saved, but for faster pinpointing and saving that potentially Super Valuable coin or Relic from damage while digging it up. Always recheck the hole, not only with the probe, but switch back to the coil also. Another coin or valuable item could be just beyond the reach of the probe. Plus, you can't beat the tech support from Mr. Ralph at Sunray Detectors. I called him one Saturday morning while I was out detecting in a local park with my new Minelab and he told me what settings I needed for my current hunting conditions--Now that's Quality Service and hard to beat. I placed my order for the probe immediately during our phone conversation. There's no way you can go wrong with the X-1 probe, but plenty of ways you'll regret not having one.
