It's 8:00 & 28 degrees - I have to wait a while to go detecting this morning, aahhhh the rough times of life ;) !! steve in so az

That is chilly for y'all! We are freezing here too...in the low 20's with 30-40 mph winds. Spittin' a bit of snow too. Seems most ofour forum family is experiencing crazy weather! Hope everyone is safe and warm. And with electricity!

20 tonight , 21 next night then start to warm. This is very unusual for our area. Think I will wait till next week to detect :( Steve

Yeh, ya got it rough, Steve! :) MO is very cold and we have lots of ice and sleet on everything and some of the white stuff, but not as much as other cities and states...Jeff City had 12 inches by yesterday noon and it was still coming down heavily! My daughter's 55th birthday was yesterday and although she lives in Ste. Genevieve she works in Farmington, MO and couldn't get home after work last night because of all the ice and sleet, so she is staying in a hotel until Thursday! A co-worker picks her up and takes her back to the motel using a 4-wheel drive vehicle! Bill's work place, the Quary, was closed so he didn't have to get out on the slick roads! Count your blessings that your weather isn't worse than it is! :heh: Ya probably will be out :detecting: again soon! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

that many places are much worse than us. I was making light of things :) It's up to 35 now at 11:00. Stay warm there, steve

The answer to the original ? is A LOT, or NOT MUCH MORE.

Steve how far south are you. That seems darn cold for AZ.

It is 20 deg F right now and last I was actually ably to go out and dig found a Merc even, 1942. The ground is so hard this week you have to chip it out, so no hunting.

Jeff

The Grand Rapids area, of Michigan, got 12" to 36" of fresh snow & drifting last night. It took a while to find my truck. Temps are in the 20's but, thank God, the wind has died down.

Jeff - We are about 70 miles from Mexico. While we are formally a desert it sometimes drops into the 20's. Fortunately, most days in the winter we go in t shirts. steve

Hey, 22 degrees here in East Central Indiana, with a low tonight of around 8 degrees with wind chill of about -15, 1" of ice on the ground and a yard full of big old tree limbs that came down last night, and oh, the ground is so hard dynamite could not budge it.

now is to be our low tonight. I just cannot imagine your lows - too long an old desert rat to make it there :) Stay warm, Steve

:cool:About 18" of the white stuff and you will be in my world!
