We cannot just His age by OUR calendar..He was before calendars. I think there are more important things to concern ourselves with. JMHO.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (If we believe the Word to be Jesus then He is older than 2009 years) Your questions might be answered in asking 'when was the beginning' as God was there in the beginning and if in the beginning then would God not have been there even before 'the beginning'?
We know Jesus came to earth in the flesh but that is not the beginning. Jesus was (is) the Son of God and was His Son before coming to earth to be a sin offering for our sins.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Jesus was Jesus, the Son of God before His birth into this world through a virgin birth.
Anyway, I hope your quest for the answer comes to you. As for me, I have other things God wants me to do than concern myself with how old God is. That's just me.

Hello junklord 3139,,,,,,God was, is and will forever be! We don't know how He began, but He was in the beginning and will be eternally! There is no beginning or end to eternity! God is eternal, omnipotence, (infinite) omnipresent (everywhere at once) and omniscience (knows all things)!
Now Jesus, who was with God and is God, in His earthly body would be around 30 years of age, for that is when He died on the cross and then He rec His heavenly body when He was resurrected from Earth and said He would return! Read the Book of Revelation! Also, Daniel and actually read and study the whole Bible, the Old and New Testaments to learn of God and gain godly wisdom! We who accept Jesus, as our personal Savior, love, obey and worship Him in Spirit and in Truth will spend eternity with Him, after we are resurrected ! The King James Bible....Thompson Chain version....is a good Bible to use!

The Dec. 25 date was chosen by the Roman Catholic Church without researchng when the Messiah was to be born. With the changes in the calander thhrough the ages from his birth, we have the Gregorian now, Jesus was born in 4 B.C. The birth of Jesus Christ is not to be taken as the birth of God but as the fusion of God and man as the savior of the world. Just because we only know limits in our life and world does not prevent an all powerful, all knowing and eternal God from being limitless. The beginning refered to in scripture is the beginning of the earth, universe and life as we know it, not the beginning of God. That sort of of statement would not allow for a being powerful enough, wise enough and pre-existing the event to be God. Therefore, either God is as described in the Bible with all his attributes or he does not exist. What does the Bible say, not what man has proposed.
OK, G-d IS and has always been. John 1: "In the Beginning...." How dare we try to put our brains into the thought process's of almighty G-d. Even Moses, a very Holy man, could not look on the face of G-d. How then can we even try to answer your question. You might as well have asked if G-d really existed.
We will NEVER be able to "rationalize" your question to an acceptable answer. Kinds like the adage " If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there, does it make a sound?". Impossible to answer.
When I finally turned my life, really turned my life over to G-d those kind of questions were settled. Praise God.
Gee, don't here anything about Christan before Jesus? Can't imagine why. Oh yes, Christianity didn't come about till after the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. From then on the Christians were everywhere.

Can you look into the eyes of your Grandfather? If you can then why can't you look into the eyes of God. God is our Greastest Grandfather .God is our creator. YES I beleave in God and I am not afraid to talk to him or look him in the eyes ,only one that is ashamed of what he or she has do in there life should be ashamed.When I say I am not afraid to talk to GOD is because I have talk to God in his own language, I have received the Holy Ghost.And for all you who want to know who I am my last name is LORD ,this the name is my birth name and will be my name when I dead.So everyone have a Marry marry Christmas and a Happy New Year, God Bless all man kind .
