Oh I dig plenty of those! They are actually a bit bigger than this unidentified object. In all fairness, I have dug a lot of ball bearings with the TDI.

How do you distinguish them outside of a small pinpoint? I notice smaller aluminum is often sharp and loud and that is easy, but the other materials are sometimes harder.

They are definitely harder, but if I suspect it, and it reads fairly deep, I will dig a one or two inch plug. If the target is still in the hole it is good, if it is in the plug it is either a .22 shell, or shotgun shot.
