How to carry the etrac

Meditech

New member
This might be a silly question but here we go!!! I hooked up the sunray probe on my etrac and lost the section I use to put my hand to carry it , the switch is where I put my hand, now I haft to carry my etrac like im detecting with it which can get tough in woods, any suggestions on hand placement?

I've got my Sun Ray probe mounted in the same place. For short distances in open areas I'll use two or three fingers between the end of the probe and the control box
to carry the E-trac. For longer distances or in forests I'll retract the shaft all the way and carry it with the probe switch box balanced on my right shoulder. I either hang the headphones on the battery compartment or disconnect them and carry them in the trash bucket with my shovel and the large frisbee I use as a drop cloth when digging. I also have a padded Minelab carrying bag that I got from a local dealer a few years ago. That works great in dense woods.

I put the palm of my hand on the Sunray switch box with fingers lightly holding it the end then is tucked up under my arm just like carrying a broke open double barrel shotgun. Balances well and keeps it up out of the way.
