Try this! do the scan then choose effect and put to negative! It will show all the detail you can't see when the coin is scaned normally!
Found this coin Sunday in an Old yard that was a solid NULL! There must have been a house burnt down on this site at some time! The large cent came out with a Large nail stuck on one side and a Piece of Iron on the other side! It looked like a BOLT with a washer on it!I hit it with my Digger and a piece of Iron fell off and I could see it was Green under all that Junk so I stopped Hitting it and took it home and sonic tanked it at work for 2 days! Here is how it came out! Pitted but still it has a date!

I have found when hunting in a solid NULL, That when you get over a good hit the threshold will come back at that point!
You just have to go slow to let the machine recover going thru all that Iron!
I also got a Merc and some wheats from the same yard!
It is the same in DEEP trash! Just go slow amd LISTEN!

It cost about $7000.00 and uses Costic solution!
I only use it for the Heat and Vibration to Knock off Heavy CRUD!I put the coin in a plastic bag with soapy water and drop it in!

Ah... I work for the Suburban Journals, under Pulitzer, (who is currently being purchased by Lee Enterprises) the same company who owns the Post-Dispatch. I heard you worked downtown so I thought there was a chance you could be working for the P-D.
I might email you and try to hook up this weekend, don't know what my schedule is yet. I hope it doesnt rain Saturday/Sunday!
