I need them! Seems like most years I get sick one time during the winter. I just got a flu shot last week!

half of the strains of the flu out there this year. Usually the idea of the the flu shot is to give you a dose of the flu that your body can handle and manufacture anti-bodies for so when the big junk comes your body is able to fight it better because you already have the anti-bodies in your system.
Usually the shot gives people a mild case of the flu....which is supposed to be better than not having the shot and then getting hit hard...but imagine getting a mild case and then finding the anti-bodies aren;t set up to work against the strains not covered by the shot...you get that mild case of the flu then get hit hard with the other stuff...no win situation there. Even worse if you have to pay for the shot on top of it all.
I had to get flu shots every year in the military but haven't had one since. 2 things (even if I feel sick or symptoms of sickness) I remind myself of these 2 things....No weapon formed against me shall prosper and the other is And this too shall pass.
But I would never refuse the prayers from others
