I think I can visualize "Lady Liberty " on this obverse pic.

Center photo is from "Red Book of Coins" for comparison.

Any and all input from my astute friends would be greatly appreciated

Good silver find anyway! Your guess is as good as mine! That salt water sure doesn't do those coins any good for sure! God Bless!

It does resemble the other photo, it almost looks like Washington to though but I guess not the right size.

I think I can see the outline of the "Liberty" on the obverse. That coin's been bouncin' around with the tide for a while huh? :)

HH!

It's amazing how the sand just wears the silver down like that. Or is it a chemical reaction from the salt water? Sorry, I'm not astute enough to help with id'ing it though. Still, a better silver find than I have found this year!!!

salt water...ruins all the silver coins but I am told that the deeper the coin is in the ocean bed, the better condition it will be...but I can't be diggin' 10 ft down at my age!

Ahhhhh! You mean you cannot dig big holes like me son, Mike??? Maybe he will come and do the digging for you and find a big pot of silver or gold from some shipwreck!!
  :) I couldn't even dig 2 to 3 feet down let alone 10 feet!

God Bless!

 Maybe not you ..or me alone, but the two of us together, Betty..we could be a "dynamic duo" and dig those holes together one on each side ot the hole ...and scoop it all up!!

Well, Lorraine, I'm not sure about me unless I knew for sure there was a big chest of gold, silver and jewels down there....then watch out and get out of my way!

God Bless!
