Went back to that house I had hunted before with my Ace 250. Found about $2.50 in clad, 3 Wheats, a fake 18k ring, a 1876 Seated Half!!! The 18k on the ring looks like it may actually be 18k who knows. Great way to end a season!

That is one beautiful coin, congratulations!!

A seated half???? Man that is one great coin and in beautiful shape! A HUGE Congratulations to you! Thanks for the awesome pictures.

WOW!

From what i understand on these 18K ring are they are a fake and just stamped 18K. I was told these were sold by salesman door to door years ago to many that were too busy to buy one from a jeweller so they could give it to their future wife. Many had a plating on them so they did look great when new, but when it wore off the finger it was on turned green as it is a copper alloy that is plated. I know I have 4 or 5 of them I have found over the last 39 years.

Thanks. The yard is the size of the town square where I live. Its going to take a while to detect it all. I need to get a big SEF coil for half of it. Half of the yard has fill dirt the other does not. The half was only 3 or 4 inches down but I was finding clad 8 inches down in the fill dirt.
