Hunt #73

Fun hunt and dug some target numbers that I usually don't dig and of course I dug more junk. Just experimenting again..... Thanks for looking.....Z

"Junk" jewelry still looks good. I have been digging more junk/funky numbers of late myself. All to no avail, as I recall. Good hunt z. HH jim tn

Jim I have been trying Sens@85+ and yesterday I dug 2 holes that were up to the hilt on my screwdriver and many that were 5 or more inches down. My screwdriver has a 9" blade. Both deeper holes were junk. On the F70 I have been been digging more 64-68 numbers but every time junk. Also digging 33-57 numbers, junk comes out. I notice if the nickle is on top of the ground up to 35 could be a nickle. I only dug 18 coins yesterday because it was taking me so long to dig all those deeper targets that weren't worth digging and investigating targets numbers that I would usually pass up. I got very tired because I was staying down on one knee so long. Is it worth it to dig more? Don't know? I think I would rather pass up the 1 gold ring and dig the 1,000 coin numbers. But that is just me.... Thanks for reading....Z

You and I think alike, Z. By digging mostly numbers that I know, my silver, coins and jewelry, and clad I feel more then makes up for the gold I might miss. And, I still average several gold items a year by simply digging nickel readings and everything that beeps in the chip and sand lots that I occasionally hunt. Digging all that trash takes to much time....and dang nab it, its hard work. HH jim tn

yeah it can get old digging junk but it only takes one of those signals to be something that makes it all worth while hh

Yeah, what are you going to do? Thats a nice solid hunt there Zeek. :clapping: That thing with the suction cup is a GPS mount fixture I think. I guess for me it depends on the location of the target, its depth, and what else I'm finding there...nothings for certain when it comes to gold as we all know..thats part of the appeal of the hunt for sure. every once in a while, those old silver coins or a silver ring is a surprise on a "known" signal, and its fun to hunt the unknown signals for a little everyday just to get an idea of what they are or could be. I've posted before about slanted stacks and multidenom stacks and tight spills...try putting a nickle on top of a q, or various tight pocket spills out in the yard...very freaky and trashy sounding. A wonderful trophy when they are found! I guess everything deserves a stab, the screwdriver does transmit a lot of data back up, you can pretty much tell what an object is and then decide if you want it or not...I wonder what a guy would find if everything was notched out except nickles? Pulltabs? Dont know if I could ever bring myself to attempt this. Passing up a stack of clad would be a tough day. Thats why beach hunting to me is so boring and awful, too much effort for too few targets, but, a guy has to go for the gold when its in season..
