Haven't been out for awhile. Excellent day for detecting so I had to get out. Picked up a nice little heart ring and some good coin counts. Thanks for looking....Z

Nice finds! Did you use the small concentric coil?

Jim it isn't that I don't dig nickle signals, it is that I am very tight on digging nickles. Numbers ranging from 30-32 are really good nickle numbers and produce nickle totals that equal 6-7% of my finds. It is a physical thing for me. I can only get down so many times and my knees tell me it is time to go home.

Lurksalot I use the 6.5" coil almost 100% of the time. Even when I am hunting a soccer field. I can swing it all day every day. It gives me good depth. It is excellent for the kind of hunting I do. F70 settings: Disc@25, Sens@70, Thresh@-3, Tones@3H, Notch out tab, DE mode. This is the settings used today in a big park that has lots of activities almost every day of the week. Lots of junk but if your willing to go through it, it does pay off. These are my kind of hunting grounds.... Thanks for looking ....Z

Lurksalot most of the guys go to the big coils. I go for the smaller coils. I guess I have always been backwards.

Rob my wife really likes helping me when I come home with jewelry. She tells me if it is any good or not. Wife also picked out a couple of my 925 rings. She doesn't want to wear gold anymore. She really enjoys helping me with the coins when I tumble them. She looks for silver and old pennies. When I cash the coins in she always wants to know how much I got.
