Hunt & sen. test

kickback

New member
Test , trisd the sen. on 22 and can't get very deep, so on 25 to 28 will hit a 8" coin. All so tried sen. on aoto & mannual and can't see any difference in them. Hunt 4.78 clad, 15 wheats, watch was under steps, silver & gold teeth, and a 14K gold ring it hit on 09-09.

You found teeth! That's a hoot and no less silver & gold. I wouldn't mind that!

As far as no difference in auto or manual, well that may be true at 8" in stable soil with limited amount of trash. A lot depends on how much time you want to spend on a target in trash or with iron. If you work either sensitivity and know how to work a target you are going to get pretty good depth. Now at 10" .... the people pulling targets out in trash on auto have my attention. Those people have some real skills. Those depth tests can be ran on any found target. I sometimes try to treak my machine on deep found targets no matter what they are. Just takes a little digging to confirm depth.

wow, great depth kickback. Like ive been told, there is no difference in the power being put out, but its in the receive end. I did play around with some air tests using the X-1 probe NOT a coil. What i noticed was there was a couple of inches difference in the probes ability to read the target. But what was most surprising was in auto sensitivity at say 4" it just stopped reading the target... move the target even a quarter of an inch and it was gone. Within this 4" window in auto it remained accurate ID. In manual, there wasnt a wall. It saw the target but there came a distance it just couldnt tell what it was like 6" or so. I have the slimeline and about have it down now in trash. Im looking at buying a new coil ... Pro coil or 10 by 12?

On my sunray x5 coil where I live I can get a dime at 7 to 8" if the ground is wet. Air are sometimes not the best. On air test I only get a dime at about 6" , in the ground have found the at about 8". On auto maybe better with the large coil I don't know because I use the x5 all the time, I hunt trashy places and it work the best there with the small coil. With the small coil you can put the sen. very high and get by with it , the large coil I don't know.
