Hunt with E Trac and 61 degree weather.

Had to get out and try my repaired E Trac. It did pretty good. Went out with a friend (Dan) and he did pretty good too, but that's his story to tell! I found that with the E Trac you really need to crank the sensitivity to get good depth. I finally got a brass target at about 9". The 1803 Draped Dust large cent was about 5". It was a great day and the weather was excellent!! Can't believe all the snow melted! HH

Hey Terri, Thanks! We had a great hunt. The pistol is a little charm and I believe it is colonial or a litter newer (Post colonial). Look at the type of pistol, and it looks the period. I didn't know they had charms back then. The hoe is actually 1/2 of a hatchet. This piece broke off, and I can see the slot for pulling nails out. I kept it because it looked like a wedge of some sort, but later found out why it was thrown out!!! The other top piece, I'm not sure of. If it were lead lined, I'd say rosette, or stage coach decoration. But not really sure. Was just glad to get out and detect without a jacket on!!
