Hunted out? Park still gives them up

I have not posted in a long time, also I have not been Hunting much at all this year (too much work) But me and my buddy Greg(ut) got out to a hunted out park and scored 18 silvers - my 9 are pictured here. These coins were all 5" to 8" deep, not that old but silver. I have been reading posts on detectors and learning curves. I have owned my XS for 4 years and I guess at this point I just don't understand the difficulty with the machine.

LOL - until I remember back to when I started. It is so funny to me now. Maybe some of you long time XS users can comment - but for me the tones are not funky, they flow perfectly, I think I can hear(see) almost exactly what is under the ground with each swing. The XS provides several different pinpoint methods depending upon the situation. This machine in noisy ground is a killer - it will sniff out the coins with ease. Most of these silvers and some odd 50 wheat

Nice finds with your II, looks as if you have it down pat from what your saying. Sure no sense to change in mid stream. Sort of like riding a horse, once you've broken it and tamed it she's pretty responsive and nice handling. WTG and look forward to seeing more from the " Hunted out Park "

Got to love those hunted out old parks......
I felt the exact same way when I first turned on the XS 4 years ago.
It sat in the closet for a few months afterwards(I was afraid of it).
I could not make heads nor tails of those sounds or the screen.
Now I only wished I never had put it in the closet and learned it faster. What a great machine... and after it clicks and kicks in.... there wasn't that much of a learning curve after all
Once it sniffs out the silvers it'll sing out a tone like no other.
Nice finds and keep'em coming.
I'm a long timer on this forum .... don't post as much as I probably should

Andrus,

Its good to hear from you again. Glad to hear that you and Greg are doing so well. We are still pulling a few silvers out of Liberty, but they are getting harder to find. After yesterday's hunt I stopped and spoke with Greg's father-in-law yesterday.

HH,
Glenn

In the soil around here all coins sound horrible on my Explorer XS. If they are nearer the surface they sound really good though. But 6" and greater they sound horribbible.
Don't know why.

I have hunted several "hunted out" parks but never done that well. I use the Explorer II and dig those squeaky sounds next to low tones and usually get rusty nails and rusty bottle caps. How much junk are you digging?

I do find silver and wheaties though in those parks and fairgrounds. Do you think as time goes by the silvers start to show up because the metal material around them is deteriorating?

At any rate, good job. You must know your machine. The proof is in the photo you posted.
