only got out for about 2 hours saturday morning. i hunted a sports complex for clad and rings and ended up with a couple dollars and some type of medal about the size of a silver dollar. after doing some chores i got to hunt again with my 9 year old for about one hour at the end of the day. he detected the woodchips and i hit the field in front of an old school. i got a couple more dollars and the best thing about the hunt was to have him come running over to me smiling like he found gold or silver and i took my headphones off to hear him say... I GOT A PENNY!!!!! looks like i got a hunting partner now.:clapping:
i also got permission to hunt a farm field where an old school and house were located in the late 1800s. hope everyone had a great weekend and you got out for some detecting as well even if it was only for an hour or two.

hunting with the kids is great! :) Let's see that medal.

you take him detecting as much as you can. I have fond memories of detecting with our son Joshua when he was younger. Now that he's almost 19 and I ask him if he wants to go he says...
" Dad, thats dumb"
