Hunting in Charleston, SC

:detecting: I don't think so... I used to live there for a number of years and I detected all over , especially folly beach , and isle of palms . I have never had a problem .

The city of Charleston and nearby historic areas are severly restricted. You'll see "No Artifact Collection" signs at many places.

I've been checking out the SC website, and you're right...heavy restrictions. I'm mostly interested in hunting at the beach, so I should be OK. If not, will one of you come bail me out of jail (or wherever they send you)?

My wife indicates we are going to Charleston this Sept.

So, any ideas which beach to hunt?

Any good hotels near there?

I guess the summer rates will be gone by then, I hope.

thanks for any help.

Check the Beach & Water Forum...I posted the same question there and got a lot of good feedback. Hope y'all have fun!
