Did good today I dug a lot of coins, I found 7 quarters in one hole, woohoo! I will post the finds later today.

Thanks guys, hey Steve its an old 1894 church that was closed some years back and a friend of mine bought it and turning it into a wedding chapel, he will be excavating the grounds soon so I hope to get into older coinage.

Another picture I forgot to show.
 
Nice hunt and a good opportunity to find some really old coins. When our church rebuilt the grounds, the construction people took the top 6" of sod & dirt and 'all ' the old coins were lost. We found little or nothing once the top soil was removed. Food for thought.
 
Im a member of my church and its been there since 1847,Im going to ask the pastor if i can possibly scan the area and the woods behind it.Great hunt hank.
 
Thanks , your right Martin, I will be hitting it hard again this weekend, some sides of the building is full of trash and the side that is in the picture has gravel layer under the grass and its tough to dig, and has under growth behind it.
