if you could find out, they probably hired younger workers but they can show some way that they are better qualified. Not necessarily true but they know how to play the game. I'll be praying for you for a job with a company that isn't deceptive.

God's will has been done in your life and you are better off in not working for that company, because they would probably make you very miserable while working for them! Remember, to not complain, but give God the glory, anyway, for Father God knows best! Keep the faith in Jesus and keep praying and thanking Him for the right job with the best company He is preparing for you and from now on.....don't count your chickens before they hatch (an old saying)....because you really don't know how many eggs will hatch nor what job the Lord has for you until you get the okay of your being hired and starting to work, on Monday, or whatever day they choose! Praise God and Thank Jesus, also, that you aren't as bad off as too many that don't have jobs at all and owe for houses, cars and such! Don't be irritated, but as Paul says, Be satisfied in every circumstance you find yourself in.....when a Child of God, He will see you through every trial! Amen! Ma Betty

definitely understand your frustration.I definitely understand you wantig to cool off a bit. That "IS" ok. But for you to leave this Forum or withdaw from other people in yyour life would be foolish. No one here thinks your a fool.because you did not get a job. You were "HAD". period. Guess what, Yes hat does stink bad but it has happened to me a hundred times over the years. One time I even went all the way to England on the premise that I had a new job. I literally spent about $ 6,000 that I absolutely did not have and i was stuck in a Foriegn Country to boot. Now THAT is embarrasing. Thing here is that here you will get the support you need to make Godly decisions and take Godly views. If you need to vent that is ok. That is called being human. It is what you do in regards to what your venting that determines if it is Godly or not. Here you will at least get some solid input ok. So if you need to gochill out that is ok but do not walk away over this matter. For if you do then that to me would be truly foolish ok. If you want you can PM me and I will give my email address where we can talk one on one ok. I KNOW your hurtng right now but don't do anything stupid ok. I do wsh you the best and hope you will heed my advice on this debacle. Until later; PEACE:RONB

You probably did nothing wrong. Go over the entire interview in your head and recheck your resume. Make sure you are listing your strengths as they apply to the job you are seeking. It's tough nowadays and you have to, "sell" yourself completely during the interview. Keep trying and you will be taken care of.

Been almost guaranteed a couple jobs to have them sudden disappear. That tells me a couple things...I would not be happy working for any company like the ones who do that and second God knows what is best for us. Closing that door may have been a good thing as God knows more than we do. As far as feeling you have lost face....tell the devil to get behind you and quit filling your head with that stuff...everyone here is pulling for you and wants you here. Who doesn't want you here is the devil who is glad to keep you from praying for others and for others to pray for you.

Stick with your family here - we know the world is not a fair place and even less fair to Christians. Stay and fight the good fight with us all.

Once was hired as a Federal Police Officer at the VA Hospital in Saginaw. I was to report to work at night and during the daytime got a call from Admin telling me I could not work yet until I had my 'Psychological Evaluation". I didn't go in....I lost the job. The guy I was supposed to relieve had to work a double shift. He later asked me why I didn't go in and told him. Seems someone in Admin plays this game to get his/her friends into jobs others were already hired for. The Chief of Police told me later the next opening was mine. He didn't call back in 6 months so I went and talked to him again. He acted like he never heard of me before in his life.

Had other jobs 'disappear'.....one because someone with less experience played the 'I am a Black man, you HAVE to hire me"....they did and they regretted it but could not get rid of him.

that the Lord has something better for you.

That is so cute...Bill! Maybe WGsteve will use it as his avatar! You guys and gals can be sooooo humorus at times! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

I have been blessed with a job that keeps our head above water, but doesn't pay nearly what I earned prior the economic turndown. I was a former retail store manager and now find myself competing against former district managers and regional vp's for the limited store positions that are available. Keep your head up and don't get discouraged. It is tough sledding out there, with a lot of stiff competition for every job. God Bless,

I think this kind of thing is happening more and more. Why don't people just tell it like it is? I was recently almost promised a job and ended up not getting it. Instead of calling my cell phone, the human resources manager left a message on my home phone so she didn't have to talk to me. I was shocked! One thing about it, we should feel blessed that we didn't get those jobs. Probably wouldn't have been a good experience. It is frustrating, irritating, etc. but in the end we just have to trust that GOD knows what he's doing!!! Hang in there!
